Frank and Tracy

I was on the radio this morning!!!! I was on The Frank and Tracy show on The HOG. This was very exciting for me. I had an opportunity to talk, on the air, to Frank and Tracy all about WhatsHappeningDaytona.com and let everyone know all of the cool things that we are doing. We are also giving away Nine Inch Nails tickets and a limo ride to and from the concert for anyone who lives in Volusia or Flagler county. This is going to be so fun. Be sure to get online and enter the contest if you are local to the area.

Summer In Daytona

Well, it is definitely summer here in Daytona and like clockwork, we get a daily afternoon rain around 3pm. It is nice this time of year, early in the morning to walk outside and smell the ocean scent in the air. Everything is in bloom and the grass grows very quickly.

I have been very absorbed with both of my businesses these days. I try to always keep up with my customers and everything that needs to be done with my parent company. The excitement for me, right now, is in the work I am doing to promote WhatsHappeningDaytona.com. I never would have thought that I would be involved in such a cool and wonderful project. I am meeting people so much these days and talking about ways to promote all that is Daytona Beach. I am involved with the community and helping some of the local arts centers. The WhatsHappeningDaytona.com commercial is coming on the radio next week and we are hoping to soon have an advertisement on the back of the city buses in town. In addition, the site has received far more visitors just by word of mouth than I expected.

It is all very exciting!!

WhatsHappeningDaytona.com Launches!

Today is my one year anniversary for being in business in Florida. Also today, I am now a corporation. In addition, I just launched WhatsHappeningDaytona.com. This is a site designed to promote local art, culture, bands, businesses, attractions, recreation and everything that makes up the Daytona Beach area. My hope is that I can provide one central location for everything that there is to do in the area and promote the progress of the art, culture and social aspects of Volusia County. I have spent many sleepless nights working on it and there is more to come in the coming months.

Changes

Some major changes are taking place in my life…

I quit giggling. Wednesday, April 13, I gave my giggle-ware to a friend and told him he could have it…everything. I am done.

I have been packing up, in a box, everything that is a reminder of my father, including pictures, memories and every letter I have ever written to him. Once I get it all in this box, I am going to send it to him and he is going to be purged from my life.

I am setting a work schedule that I am going to adhere to so that my work life and personal life are not so inter-twined. My schedule is going to be monday through friday from 10am to 7pm. If there are times that I have to take off work due to appointments and such, I am going to treat it like a real job and make up those hours. Other than that, though, I will not work outside of the set time.

First Day Of Spring (end of dreaded winter)

Well, here it is…. the dreaded winter is over.  I hope the dreaded cold leaves with it.

Benjamin came by earlier for a bit and we had raspberry cream coffee and conversation.  He is yet another good soul that I am thankful to know.  He seems to find amusement in my spontaneous fluttering personality.  He has great respect and admiration for Jamey, and they have known eachother for a very long time.  That is good and I can therefore hang with him without worrying about any weird intentions.  Perhaps now, with things changed between Jamey and I, we too can have these wonderful crazy conversations and philisophical ponderings.  We could come up with crazy inventions.  I was so caught up in the moment with Jamey that I see now how it prohibited many of our actions and words.  It has been a weird month.  Now I look forward to a new and different type of relationship (fantastic friendship) with Jamey (without complication).

Ok, so Spring is here according to the calendar…now bring on the warm weather and let’s start a new chapter.

Balarina In Fast Forward

Jamey told me tonight that I am like a balarina in fast forward.  I thought that was an excellent way to describe me.

We were sitting outside later and he made mention of my powerful heartbeat and said that it could be heard and felt from across the room.

He is a wonderful friend and I am thankful that he is part of this fantastic group of friends who are all so closely involved with my family.

Everything Is Coming Together!

I see myself doing everything in ways that seem to be falling into place just right, and I sometimes have a hard time believing that it is all happening so well. The closer I get to my goal, the more fearful I get of making a wrong move. But that does not seem to be happening and I seem to be making some great moves. I wish I was not going to be so busy this last week. I was hoping that I would be able to relax a bit before the big move, but it does not look like it is going to happen. Oh well! Soon enough things will slow down. Right now I am in the home stretch. I can see my goal…I can taste my goal…very soon I will have the finish-line ribbon across my chest with my arms in the air as I reach my goal….see you in florida!

New Trailer Hitch

I just got back from buying a new trailer hitch, ball and locking pin. I bought a locking pin this time so that my stuff does not disappear again like it did before. One day, I noticed my hitch was gone. I guess someone decided they needed more than I did. Thieves suck!!! Now I am ready for the trailer (and more than ready to be out of here).
